TransLens Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how TransLens (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) handles information when you use our iOS application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about the data we process. By using TransLens, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Process
1.1 Content You Provide for Translation
When you translate text, voice, or photos, the content you submit is processed to produce a translation.
- On-device translation: When the app uses Apple’s on-device translation engine, your content is processed entirely on your device and is not sent to any server.
- Cloud translation: When on-device translation is unavailable for a language pair, the text is sent over an encrypted connection to third-party translation providers (see Section 3) solely to return a translation. We do not use this content to identify you, and it is not stored on our own servers.
Camera images are processed on your device for text recognition (OCR). Photos are not uploaded to our servers.
1.2 Device and Usage Information
We and our service providers may process:
- Product interaction data — feature usage and in-app events, used for analytics to improve the app.
- Crash and diagnostic data — to detect, diagnose, and fix problems.
- Approximate region / device locale — to provide region-appropriate results and language defaults.
These are processed via Google Firebase (Analytics & Crashlytics) using a non-advertising app-instance identifier.
1.3 Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not require you to create an account.
- We do not ask for your name, email, contacts, or precise location.
- We do not display third-party advertising, do not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA), and do not track you across other apps or websites.
- We do not sell your personal data.
2. How We Use Information
- Provide translation features (text, voice, and camera).
- Understand how the app is used and improve its features and stability.
- Detect and fix crashes and technical problems.
3. Third-Party Services
TransLens relies on the following third-party services, each of which processes data under its own privacy policy:

When cloud translation is used, only the text needed to perform the translation is transmitted.
4. Subscriptions
TransLens offers auto-renewable subscriptions (TransLens Pro). All purchases are processed by Apple through your App Store account; we do not receive or store your payment information. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings.
5. Data Retention
- Content submitted for cloud translation is processed transiently to return a result and is not retained on our servers.
- Analytics and crash data are retained by the respective third-party providers according to their own retention policies.
6. Your Choices
- Translation history / saved items are stored locally on your device. You can delete them at any time within the app, and they are removed when you delete the app.
7. Children’s Privacy
TransLens is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
8. International Users
TransLens is available globally. By using the app, you understand that your information may be processed by our third-party service providers in countries other than your own, under the protections described in their respective privacy policies.
9. Security
We use industry-standard measures, including encrypted network connections, to protect information in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your information.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

本隐私政策说明 TransLens（”我们”或”本 App”）在你使用我们的 iOS 应用时如何处理信息。我们致力于保护你的隐私并对所处理的数据保持透明。使用 TransLens 即表示你同意本政策所述的做法。
1. 我们处理的信息
1.1 你提供以进行翻译的内容
当你翻译文字、语音或照片时，你提交的内容会被处理以产生翻译结果。
- 设备端翻译：当 App 使用 Apple 的设备端翻译引擎时，你的内容完全在设备上处理，不会传送到任何服务器。
- 云端翻译：当某语言对无法使用设备端翻译时，文字会通过加密连接传送给第三方翻译服务（见第 3 节），仅用于返回翻译结果。我们不会用这些内容识别你的身份，也不会存储在我们自己的服务器上。
相机图像会在你的设备上进行文字识别（OCR）。照片不会上传到我们的服务器。
1.2 设备与使用信息
我们及我们的服务供应商可能会处理：
- 产品交互数据 —— 功能使用与 App 内事件，用于分析以改善 App。
- 崩溃与诊断数据 —— 用于侦测、诊断及修复问题。
- 大致地区 / 设备语言 —— 用于提供符合地区的结果与默认语言。
以上通过 Google Firebase（Analytics 与 Crashlytics）处理，使用的是非广告用途的应用实例标识符。
1.3 我们不会收集的信息
- 我们不要求你创建账号。
- 我们不会索取你的姓名、电子邮件、通讯录或精确位置。
- 我们不展示第三方广告、不使用广告标识符（IDFA），也不会跨其他 App 或网站追踪你。
- 我们不会出售你的个人数据。
2. 我们如何使用信息
- 提供翻译功能（文字、语音与相机）。
- 了解 App 的使用情况，并改善其功能与稳定性。
- 侦测并修复崩溃及技术问题。
3. 第三方服务
TransLens 依赖下列第三方服务，各服务皆依其各自的隐私政策处理数据：

使用云端翻译时，只传输完成翻译所需的文字。
4. 订阅
TransLens 提供自动续期订阅（TransLens Pro）。所有购买均由 Apple 通过你的 App Store 账号处理；我们不会接收或存储你的支付信息。你可在 Apple ID 账号设置中管理或取消订阅。
5. 数据保留
- 提交用于云端翻译的内容仅为返回结果而临时处理，不会保留在我们的服务器上。
- 分析与崩溃数据由相应第三方服务依其各自的保留政策保留。
6. 你的选择
- 翻译历史 / 收藏项存储在你的设备本地。你可随时在 App 内删除，删除 App 时也会一并移除。
7. 儿童隐私
TransLens 不面向 13 岁以下（或你所在地区的相应最低年龄）的儿童。我们不会有意收集儿童的个人信息。若你认为某位儿童向我们提供了信息，请联系我们以便采取适当措施。
8. 国际用户
TransLens 面向全球。使用本 App 即表示你了解你的信息可能由我们的第三方服务供应商在你所在国家/地区以外处理，并受其各自隐私政策的保护。
9. 安全
我们采用行业标准措施（包括加密网络连接）保护传输中的信息。没有任何传输或存储方式是绝对安全的，但我们会努力保护你的信息。
10. 政策变更
我们可能会不时更新本隐私政策。更新时会修改上方的”最后更新”日期。变更生效后继续使用本 App 即表示接受更新后的政策。
